Objectors to the application to build 330 houses on Ashton Hill Farm next to Weston Road received a reconsultation letter in July and are submitting new objections:

You can start by making the point that the North Somerset Local Plan 2041 has now been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate and includes provision for 24,495 new homes at sites judged to be sustainable including Woodspring Golf Course and land north of Nailsea whereas the application site was judged to be "Less Sustainable - sites not considered consistent with spatial strategy of emerging Local Plan".
Then say the new information submitted by the applicant does not affect your main reasons to object eg:
The site is scenic Green Belt agricultural land.
It is next to Ashton Hill Wood, a Site of Nature Conservation Interest and a Local Green Space in the new Local Plan.
Permission would precedent building on all the fields around the Failand triangle.
The proposal would destroy the character of Failand as a small village surrounded by green fields.
Failand is a small village with none of the facilities of a town.
