The preliminary stage of a planning application for 350 houses on Ashton Hill Farm has been submitted.
This is to determine whether an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is required.

Comments at this stage should be on why EIA is required not on the general merit of the proposal.
Wraxall and Failand Parish Council voted unanimously on 3 June to comment that an EIA should be required:
North Somerset Council will decide the matter.
An actual planning application is likely to follow.
The application is being made by Harrow Estates which is part of Barratt/Redrow.
