It is next to Ashton Hill Wood, a Site of Nature Conservation Interest and a Local Green Space in the new Local Plan.

Permission would precedent building on all the fields around the Failand triangle.

The proposal would destroy the character of Failand as a small village surrounded by green fields.

Failand is a small village with none of the facilities of a town.

The fields around Failand are NOT proposed for any form of development in the North Somerset Local Plan 2041 pre-submission plan:
