The Gigaclear network has gone live in Failand and you can now order the service at by entering your postcode:

At £35/month for 30Mbps, £45/month for 300Mbps and £75/month for 900Mbps, it is mainly likely to appeal to residents whose standard fibre broadband (FTTC) is unstable or slow due to being a long way from the cabinet by the traffic lights, or poor line quality.

The Gigaclear service is independent of distance from the new cabinets around Failand because it is optical fibre all the way, Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP), so you should get the speed you pay for.  Standard 'fibre' broadband uses copper lines from the cabinet by the traffic lights, Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) and falls off in speed with distance from 80Mbps near the cabinet to less than 24Mbps at the furthest points.
